Experience Sedona On A Budget: Red Rock Country's Best Affordable Hotels

Sedona, Arizona, with its breathtaking red rock formations and tranquil vibe, is a bucket-list destination for nature lovers, spiritual seekers, and adventurers alike. While Sedona is known for its luxurious resorts, there are also plenty of budget-friendly accommodations that allow you to enjoy the magic of the area without breaking the bank. As a local wedding photographer/videographer who has lived in the area for nearly a decade, I have had the pleasure of visiting many of our local hotels or hearing about them through my couples and their families. If you're ballin' on a budget, these are my top tried-and-true recommendations, from a local!

A reliable, budget-friendly choice in West Sedona, Aiden By Best Western offers clean and comfortable rooms with easy access to Sedona’s attractions. It’s close to restaurants, shops, and a grocery store, making it convenient for those who want to explore the area without spending a fortune. I would know because I used to stay here (back when it was Andante Inn) before I moved to Sedona full-time and I was commuting from Prescott. The interior of the rooms are small but very clean. Each room has a small outdoor balcony perfect for stargazing. The outdoor pool is an added perk, especially for warm Arizona days.

  • Pet-friendly accommodations

3. Sky Ranch Lodge

Perched on Airport Mesa, Sky Ranch Lodge offers some of the best views in Sedona without the high price tag. This charming hotel features lush gardens, a heated outdoor pool, and a tranquil atmosphere. While slightly more expensive than some other budget options, the value and stunning location make it well worth the cost. I shoot weddings at Sky Ranch Lodge often and it has to be the best "bang-for-your-buck" hotel in Sedona. They just added an outdoor Aistream Bar and fire pit for guests too. I'll have to pop over there and grab a photo for the blog because it's SO cozy!

  • Unbeatable views of Sedona’s red rocks and sunsets

  • Close to the Sedona Airport Mesa vortex and hiking trails

7. Sugar Loaf Lodge

For travelers seeking no-frills, budget-friendly accommodations, Sugar Loaf Lodge fits the bill. This family-owned motel offers clean and basic rooms at some of the lowest prices in Sedona. The property includes an outdoor pool and hot tub, and it’s conveniently located near shops and restaurants. This is another spot that I have to admit, I've never seen for myself but: location, location! Our friends always joke that when people ask for directions to "The Subway" that we should give them directions to the sandwich chain instead of the hike (c'mon, it's kinda funny). This hotel is right next to the sandwich chain so you can tell people "yeah, I stayed right next to the Subway when I visited Sedona!" and they're going to think you stayed at Enchantment.

Why Stay Here?

  • Rates starting at around $85 per night

  • Family-owned with friendly service

  • Convenient location in West Sedona
